While surfing the world wide web today I stumbled upon a website that lists out what it calls the 100 best Hip-Hop albums of the 90's. I thought I'd share with you the top five and you can browse the list for the rest. The list does not disappoint.
Check the site out for yourself, and download some classics.
Public Enemy, 2pac, Ice Cube all controversial, rebellious, and maybe to many outdated but thanks to one artist their words and rhymes are now relevant again. In my opinion "Untitled" Nas's new album speaks with the passion of Public Enemy, the anger of Cube and with the intellect of Pac. With this album Nas tries to turn the mirror on our country to show the flaws we all have and to help up lift the black community. The track "Sly Fox" attacks Fox News and Bill O'Reilly for their racist remarks about blacks and the Obama family. Nas lead a protest against Fox and here's the video from that day
Here's O'Reilly's Response
Recently Fox new was caught being used as a propaganda tool for the White House
Hip Hop, the music of our generation, is always thrown into a negative light and when it tries to speak the truth people like O'Reilly try and hold it down.
Having a blog means having a voice and the chance for it to be heard by anyone who comes across the page. So with my voice I'm going to speak on an issue that's been on my mind lately. . .racism
I don't know if its the time we live in or if its me getting older and coming more aware of the world around me but every day I'm seeing more and more racism. Here's a few examples I've seen lately in the news.
Radio personality Michael Savages claims that autism is fake and the Latinos and blacks use autism as a way to get money from the government.
In Harlem a cop was seen with the head of a black baby dolls head on the antenna of his car.
Wells here an episode of CNN's Black in America Something you should see regardless of your color.
I posted this not to stand on either side of this issue but to help open your eyes
This is Gnarls Barkley's new video "Who's gonna save my soul" the song is very deep when you listen to the lyrics and the video is just as deep if not deeper . . . WOW
Today street wear giant, The Hundreds, is celebrating its fifth year in the game. Bobby Hundreds, the creator of the brand, wrote a nice little memo on the homepage for when you go in today. The website is garnished with its original layout from five years ago when the site first launched.
The success of The Hundreds makes an aspiring street wear brand's mouth water. To see something get so big in such a small amount of time is always impressive and inspiring. Hopefully a day like today can put the A.S.S.C. back on track to get their hopes and dreams together once again, so we can do what they we were meant to.
Camping out at the mall. Jesse couldn't handle it. I couldn't even pick up my pack till today but camping out is always fun. Slept for 2 hours and then went straight to the beach
The past Friday night was two very important things. Not only was it the release of Batman: The Dark Knight, but it was also the night before the release of the Jordan IV/XIX Countdown Pack. The night started out at Qdoba with some tacos. They didn't last very long. Then off to Lowes early so we can get good seats for Batman. All good from the front. But once you got inside you saw that the line curled from the ticket gate, out the back door of the theater, and then wrapped half way around the building. But the wait was worth it. Heath Legend and Christian Bale put on phenomenal performances, enough to make everyone I talked to this weekend see it twice. It broke some serious box office records for Biggest Opening Night Sales and Biggest Opening Weekend sales. Sorry Spiderman. Anyway the movie was only the beginning of my night. Post-movie, 1am, I went home for about ten minutes before Peewee arrived back at my house to go to the mall and get us some Jordans. Off to Quick Check for some snacks. Finally, we arrive at the mall and get ready to start the second half of the night. Luckily it wasn't too crowded. The night went on, the sun rose, and the doors opened at 7am. A fast paced walk suddenly turned into a full on sprint and the next thing i knew I was holding the Countdown Pack. All and all a great night. Video for some of the camp out footage.

The Legendary rapper Nas releases his Ninth Album tommorow..support the artist and Buy! The Album artwork resembles a famous photograph of an African American Slave and his penalty whips from his master...This album is suppose to be really deep, Nas; a true artist pouring out his heart in his music.
